Use a special tubular herringbone technique to create this supple, sinuous snake for a striking necklace or bracelet. The curves hold their shape so this delicate rope lies flat without rolling. Two snakes twine around each other for a textured, thick rope. You can even use a combination of bead colors to make it reversible! Full color step-by-step instructions are provided. The instructions cover a number of different variations that use small changes to the technique to create a wide variety of different finished effects. . |

How difficult is it? Some bead weaving experience is needed for this design. You should be comfortable with using small Japanese seed beads, and should be able to maintain a consistent tension with needle and beading thread. Experience with tubular herringbone stitch would be helpful, though not mandatory. |
